Thanks.
Start > type services.msc in the Search programs and files box and press "Enter" > then, in the right window, scroll down to the Print Spooler service and double-click "Print Spooler" > Dependencies
What is listed under "This service depends on the following system components"?
Then click on the "General" tab.
Is the Print Spooler's "Startup type" set to "Automatic"?
Is the "Service status" of the Print Spooler "Started"?
If not, can you "Start" the Print Spooler service?
If it starts and 60 seconds later terminates (as seen in the system event log). Make sure there are no pending documents reprinting on spooler startup
\windows\system32\spool\printers
Move or delete all the spl and shd files from this location, then start the spooler service again
Look for Windows Error Reports for spoolsv under
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue
there will be a report.wer file you can open in notepad to reveal the Faulting Module name
If you need to remove the driver so the spooler does not load it and fail Bruce has some good instructions to remove the registry data
